Description

Join in for a morning of family, creativity, and community at the Embracing Possibility Exhibit at the Tubman African American Museum. This special event highlights the power of storytelling, art, and civic engagement through the voices of two mothers and their sons.

Guest speakers Derek and Teresa Heard will guide a discussion called Being an Artist in Voting and Civic Engagement from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Explore identity, artistry, and activism, and bring your questions for a community Q&A on how to engage meaningfully in today's world.

Guest speakers Noah and Naomi Williams will share inspiring readings from the imaginative world of "Noahland" from 1 - 3 p.m. Through storytelling, this mother-son duo invites us to dream big and imagine new worlds of belonging.

This event is free and open to the public. Visit the museums's website to learn more about Embracing Possibility.

When: August 2, 2025, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
