Organizers expect nearly 2,000 Georgians to converge on the State Capitol steps in downtown Atlanta February 21st for the 10th annual Disability Day Rally.  Each one in this gathering is deeply concerned about issues affecting themselves or someone they love with a developmental disability.  February 21st is a time to communicate to lawmakers the importance of keeping disability issues at the forefront of Georgia’s social conscience and public policy priorities. Disability Day At The Capitol is the largest public gathering held annually in Georgia.

On February 21st nearly 2,000 Georgians are expected to gather on the State Capitol steps in support of legislation proposed by the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities and partnering organizations. The “Unlock the Waiting Lists! Campaign” seeks funding for more community services more quickly to more people with disabilities.  “Unlock…” is just one proposal before lawmakers, but one that supporters hope to communicate loud and clear at the 10th Annual Disability Day My Vote Is For Real Rally.
