On Monday of this week, the House Human Relations and Aging Committee met and heard testimony about HB 290, the Family Care Act. We anticipate that this committee will vote on this bill no later than Monday, February 3 at 1:30 PM. Also on Tuesday, a winter weather front moved into Georgia that impacted business at the Capitol and elsewhere. By Wednesday, Governor Deal declared a state of emergency and state government was shut down Wednesday and Thursday.
